Consultations on Teaching

We are pleased to provide confidential one-on-one consultations for any UVic instructor on any aspect of their teaching. For an appointment please contact ltc@uvic.ca or 250-721-8571. Typical topics for consultation include:

• Teaching methods and tips including effective lecturing, facilitating discussions, enhancing participation, classroom management and balancing your time
• Curriculum and syllabus/course outline design, including a suggested Academic Integrity Statement and an Accessibility Statement for students with a disability
• Generating individual weekly/class outlines to help structure and organize your course
• Giving and receiving feedback to assist learning, including help with grading and guidance on giving effective feedback on written assignments
• Sample Feedback Questionnaire
