My goal is to make teaching and learning rewarding for everyone who is part of the university community. First, for instructors because if they do not enjoy teaching, or feel rewarded for it, it will not be very inspiring for those in their classes! Second, for our students. Students are much better informed about the educational process than they used to be, and they want and expect to learn - which means engaging them, challenging them and supporting them. Third, for the university itself. As universities become more accountable to students, their parents and their communities, these institutions see good teaching as a way of helping to attract and keep the very best students.
